For a seriously stylish celebration, Bishops Cottage is available for exclusive hire. Book a private party with us and the house and grounds will be yours to enjoy at your leisure.
This is the perfect location to mark a memorable birthday or anniversary and you can tailor your package for a truly unique experience. We are just over 2 hours by train from London Waterloo, and once you’re here there is very little reason to leave this magical setting.
Our team will work with you to create the ultimate weekend in Dorset – a celebration your guests will remember for years to come. Up to 22 guests can stay here, in our 7 bedrooms which all offer beautiful views of the area. Your party are free to come and go as they please, making full use of our facilities including the gardens, swimming pool, sun terraces and reading sunroom.
We welcome all types of party, from groups of friends looking to escape the city to family groups with children or colleagues on a corporate weekend away. Choose to have an activity break by including outdoor activities like kayaking and horse riding, or keep it relaxed for a well-being stay with an art class, swimming or just soaking up this glorious location.
Your party can dine in the restaurant, on delicious dishes freshly cooked by our chef. Or you can work with our partners to arrange a poolside lobster barbecue or martini cocktail party. Weddings
Say your vows in a cliff-top blessing against the vista of Lulworth Cove – one of the most romantic and beautiful locations in Dorset.
Or, get married in a traditional church service in West Lulworth’s ancient parish church – just a 10 minute walk through the village. Civil ceremonies are conducted by Dorset Registrars in The Sun Room, overlooking the lawn. Then dance, eat and drink the night away, as the waves lap against the shoreline.
For larger weddings (100+), a marquee on the back lawn over the swimming pool with the sea just an arms-stretch away. For smaller celebrations (20-80), the Restaurant can be used for a sit-down dinner, buffet or cocktails.
New Years Eve
Celebrate the arrival of a New Year with a wonderful stay in Lulworth Cove, Dorset and a superb party at Bishops Cottage.
Join us for a delicious dinner and a night of dancing until the early hours to some superb music. Enjoy a sit down meal followed by drinks next to the fire in our cozy lounge.
On New Year’s Day, shake off the cobwebs and recharge your soul with a tasty breakfast and a walk to Durdle Door or Lulworth Cove. It will certainly be a New Year to remember. If you dare, you may even like to take part in a Dorset traditional sea-dip, perfect for waking up the body and mind!
